박광성 교수 등 세계 저명 성의학자 참여

전남대병원 박광성 교수(비뇨기과) 등 국제 성의학 저명 학자들이 집필한 여성성기능
장애분야 첫 전문서적 여성성기능 및 성기능장애(Women"s Sexual Function and
Dysfunction)’ 영문판이 최근 출판됐다.

국제여성성건강연구학회가 지원하고 영국 Taylor & Francis 사에서 출판한 이 책은 세
계적으로 저명한 100여명의 성의학 전문가들이 참여했으며 박광성 교수는 ‘여성성기
능 장애 동물모델(Animal models in the investigation of female sexual function
and dysfunction)’단원을 단독 집필했다.

총 760페이지에 달하는 이 책은 여성성기능장애 분야를 처음으로 집대성한 전문서적이
란 점에서 이 분야 교과서로 평가되고 있다.

박광성 교수와 편집인 어윈 골드슈타인(성의학지 편집인ㆍ사진 중앙) 박사, 신디 메스
턴 교수(전 국제여성성건강연구학회 회장)가 참가한 출판기념회는 지난 10월 28일 미
국 라스베가스에서 열린 2005년도 국제여성성건강연구학회 학술대회 기간 중 열렸었
다.

The first, definitive text on female sexual dysfunction, this major
new book summarizes the current body of knowledge in the field,
