Editorial Reviews
From Book News, Inc.
In this translation of the German edition published by Thieme in 2001 as MRT
der Wirbelsaule und des Spinalkanals, Dr. Uhlenbrock (radiology, St.-Josefs-
Hospital, Dortmund, Germany) comments that some readers may be surprised that a
book on this subject has reached such a length. Due to advances in magnetic
resonance (MR) resolution and new sequences, MR's diagnostic significance is
much greater than it was several years ago. Contributors to nine chapters
review the physics of MR systems and their applications in imaging the spinal
cord in cases of disease, malformation, trauma, aging, guiding surgery, and
post-surgical assessment. The text contains 1305 illustrations and boxed
summaries.Copyright ?2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
