Figure 4.5C: A marked reduction in e' septal mitral annular velocity demonstrates that filling is limited to early diastole because of blood being "pushed" into the left ventricle by a high left atrial opening pressure. However filling is brief secondary to a marked reduction in left ventricular compliance.
